You might be wondering what toilet training and having a healthy bladder and bowel has to do with osteopathy.  It is important that children develop good bladder and bowel habits early,  as these are more likely to lead to good bladder and bowel habits throughout life.  Many adults experience constipation as a result of not having enough fibre and drinking enough water.  Constipation can be a cause of back pain and the reverse can be true, if you are suffering from back pain, then using your bowels may be uncomfortable and holding on for too long can lead to constipation.
